Bangalore city is in Karnataka state of India and is the capital city of the state. It was earlier known as Bangalore. Since 1st November 2014 it is called as Bengaluru. The union government approved the request and along with Bangalore the names of other few cities of Karnataka were changed. The official language in Bangalore is Kannada. Hindi and English are the other two languages mostly used in Bangalore. It is located on the Deccan Plateau, elevated over 900m. Bangalore enjoys a pleasant climate throughout the year because of the elevation.

Infosys is a multinational IT company located in Bangalore. It is one of the top IT company of the country. Along with Infosys other organizations like Wipro, Biocon, HP, Seimens and Mahindra Satyam also set up their camps in Bangalore. Due to the rise of the IT industries the demand of technical expertise and multi-skilled labour force increased. Bangalore being an IT hub of India was regarded as the “Silicon Valley of India”. The city is also famous because of the sport culture. The two most popular sports in the city are Cricket and Football followed by rugby, basketball, badminton, tennis, kabaddi etc. The two most famous teams of the two most famous leagues namely ‘ROYAL CHALLANGERS BANGALORE’ and ‘Bengaluru FC’ are based in the city. The famous international cricket stadium M. Chinnaswamy stadium is located in Bangalore, which is the home of India’s National Cricket Academy. Sree Kanteerava Stadium is the football stadium located in Bangalore which is the home ground of Bengaluru FC, not only the stadiums Bangalore has provided many sports person who have represented India.

Bangalore has combined its cultural and ethical values with its technological and industrial accomplishments. It is the culturally perse capital as well because of the huge number of migrants in the city. This city is also known as the Garden City of the nation because of the two botanical gardens namely Cubbon Park and Lalbagh which has beautified not only the city but the whole state. The city is also famous for its music, dance and entertainment. Hindustani and Carnatic music and traditional dances are also the attraction of the city. The south Indian film industry is greatly influenced by the kannada Film Institute which is the residence of the city. The perse culture of the city attracts the tourists from all around the world. It is also known as the Pub Capital of India. Along with the two botanical gardens; Bangalore Palace, Nandi Hills, Chola Temples, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, ISKCON Temple, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace and Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium are the best places in the city to visit. There are plenty of shopping destinations available such as UB City mall, Gandhi Bazaar, Avenue Street and Malleswaram Market. The famous delicacies to have in the city are world famous Dal Obbattu, Mangalore Buns, Idli, Dosa, Vada, Uttapam and a lot more for the food lover.
